FAQ - WHEN DO I HAVE TO ISSUE A PPR REQUEST ?

EDSZ PPR INFORMATION

90% of our inbound phone calls at EDSZ inquire on whether or not a PPR is necessary.

Please consider that unless defined by an active NOTAM a PPR is N O T mandatory. 

According to the AIP VFR ONLINE of EDSZ you can takeoff or land in EDSZ without a PPR in EDSZ on MON - SUN during SUNRISE to SUNSET.

MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT FORGET TO CHECK NOTAMs.  The NOTAM will indicate if the AD EDSZ is PPR during the defined timeperiod. 

If not indicated by the NOTAM the PPR is OPTIONAL. The benefit of an optional PPR is expedited services if required.

Some services may only be available if a PPR is filed. E.g. parking oustide over 6h or inside a hangar.

The PPR is straightfoward, please use the REMAKRS field to request services. The PPR fee is 25,00 EUR . 

The PPR does N O T replace the customs notification request. You have to request  this on our customs form, if your origin / destination is a non-EU country.

The PPR may or may not change whether the airfield is attended with radio communication provided by the tower or whether the airfield is operated in unattended mode.

Unattended operation requires BLIND MESSAGES , communication among pilots and adherence to the published traffic pattern.

Ihre Aufgaben:

  • Verantwortung für die täglichen Abläufe in Gaststätte, Café, Bar und Biergarten
  • Empfang, Platzierung und Beratung der Gäste
  • Anleitung von Auszubildenden
  • Profunde Kenntnisse von Speisen-, Getränkeangeboten und Eventmöglichkeiten
  • Buchung und Abrechnung mit dem SUMUP-Kassensystem.
  • Kontrolle bzw. Mithilfe bei Reinigungsarbeiten im Restaurantbereich und bei den Automaten

Sie bringen mit:

  • Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung im Hotel-Gastronomiebereich oder entsprechende Berufserfahrung
  • Gute Fachkenntnisse
  • Deutsche und/oder Englische und/oder Italienische Sprachkenntnisse
  • Positives Äußeres, gute Umgangsformen, Kreativität sowie Stilsicherheit
  • Qualitäts- und Verantwortungsbewusstsein
  • Eintritt: sofort oder nach Vereinbarung

ALBERT RENNER R.I.P

Dear Aviator,

liebe Fliegerkollegen,

 

unser Freund und Fliegerkamerad Albert Renner (geb. am 15.05.1939 ) ist am Samstag 06.09.2025 verstorben.

R.I.P. Albert

 

Der Gottesdienst ist am Sa 20. September in der Kirche in Erlaheim (bei Geislingen, LK Balingen)

Die Beisetzung  im Ruheforst Hechingen findet im Familienkreis am Dienstag 23.09.2025 um 1530 Uhr statt. 

Ein Überflug am Dienstag bietet sich an. Fuer die GPS Koordinaten bitte Kontakt mit Dietmar Eger email eger@eger-steuerberater.com aufnehmen.

 

Vom Flugplatz aus haben wir bei der Gaertnerei Saemann, Balingen im Namen von AIRFIELD ROTTWEIL und der Fliegerkameraden ein Gesteck bzw. eine Schale beauftragt.

SAFETY, AIRMANSHIP AND OPERATIONAL MISSION EXECUTION

AIRFIELD ROTTWEIL IS AVAILABLE in UNATTENDED AND ATTENDED operating mode. 

Here in INFO you can find notes on the UNATTENDED OPERATION (DEFAULT) mode and the TRIGGERs that can activate the SWITCH between the ATTENDED and UNATTENDED OPERATION of the airfield.

 

You can not post directly to INFO but you can email to ops@airfield-rottweil.com your considerations or comments. They should relate directly to safety, good airmanship and operational mission execution  to be considered for the publication in this section.
